How it works
A segmentation neural network (RMBG-1.4) runs in your browser tab. It produces a per-pixel mask separating foreground from background, then the tool composites the original image against either transparency or the color you pick. The model is around 80 MB, downloaded once and cached.
Tips
- Subjects with clear edges (people, products, pets, food) come out best.
- Use Crisp edges for product photos with hard edges. Soft works best for hair and fur.
- Pick a background color and the cutout updates instantly without re-running the model.
- Output PNG to keep transparency. WebP is smaller. JPG works only with a solid background.
